The winters have arrived! As exciting as it might sound, it is not a treat for the skin. The chilly winds and the dry weather tend to take away the skin’s moisture leaving it rough, patchy and dry. Dry skin looks dull due to the harsh weather conditions and the extra use of cosmetic items. Most of us tend to simply apply moisture to the skin in the form of creams and winter lotions. Most of the times, we do not get any respite by doing this. Our skin demands more to make the glow return with these simple tips:
- Use Lukewarm Water: In extremely cold conditions, we make use of hot water or showers. It might serve to soothe to us, however, it might take away the natural moisture from the skin. Hence, it is recommended to use lukewarm water instead of hot, especially while washing face. Our face has the most sensitive skin and thus needs to be taken special care of. This will maintain the natural glow of your skin in winters.
- Moisturize Properly: To maintain a healthy and glowing skin, you can try applying moisture immediately after washing your face. This will retain the moisture in your skin for a longer period of time and will maintain the glowing skin.
- Drink: The most natural remedy for maintaining the glowing skin is to drinks lots of water. It is a common disposition to drink less water in the winter season. However, our skin needs more hydration from the inside to bring the outer glow. You could try drinking a glass of warm water with lemon which will re-energize your skin.
- Try Exfoliation: Our skin deposits layers of dead skin underneath the outer layer. Hence, to bring the natural glow from within, it is recommended to exfoliate the skin in the most natural way. These might prevent your skin looking dull during the winters.
